biosorption of textile dyes and effluents by pleurotusflorida and trametes hirsutawith evaluation of their laccase activity

abstract
the rate and efficiency of decolorization of dyes likeblue ca, black b133, and corazol violet sr were tested to evaluate white rot fungal strains. trametes hirsuta and pleurotus florida showed the greatest extent ofdecolorization on nutrient salt media. maximum decolorization of 200 mg/l of blue 133 was obtained by 4days old incubated pleurotus florida followed bytrametes hirsuta after 6 days. an attempt was made toimprove the decolorization activity of both organismswith different concentrations of glucose 1 and 2%(w/v). the decolorization activity may be due to thelaccase enzyme of white rot fungi. the production ofthis enzyme was estimated using solid state fermentation with rice bran as a substrate. it was found that p.florida exhibited 0.175 u/ml of laccase activity followed0.126u/ml by t. hirsute, respectively. decolourizationwas found to be more effective with p. florida in thepresence of 2% (w/v) glucose. crude extract containing the laccase enzyme was isolated and confirmed bysds page

full textTreatment of textile dyes effluents by laccase mediator system
A screening using several laccase mediators (2,2-azinobis(3ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid (ABTS), 1-hydroxybenzotriazole (HBT), Nhydroxyacetanilide (NHA), 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yloxy (TEMPO) and violuric acid (VA)) was performed on the degradation of three reactive textile dyes: Reactive Black 5 (RB5), Reactive Blue 114 (RB114) and Reactive Yellow 15 (RY15). ABTS was the most effe...
full textDecolorization and detoxification of textile dyes with a laccase from Trametes hirsuta.
Trametes hirsuta and a purified laccase from this organism were able to degrade triarylmethane, indigoid, azo, and anthraquinonic dyes. Initial decolorization velocities depended on the substituents on the phenolic rings of the dyes. Immobilization of the T. hirsuta laccase on alumina enhanced the thermal stabilities of the enzyme and its tolerance against some enzyme inhibitors, such as halide...

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...
